Key inspiring artists to mention

Recently I purchased this gem of a book called 'why your five year old could not have done that'. The title immediately was amusing and so right.

Two artists I came across within this book have resonated with myself as an artist and therefore I felt the need to post them.

Both are playful visuals regarding much larger concepts.

Claes Oldenburg investigating mass food production and the rise in consumerism, all displayed through a humourous soft sculpture.

On the other hand, Salvador Dalí creating playful visuals and misplacement of objects illustrating his beliefs about the connections between food and sex.
